Manchester United couldn't manage a single shot against Liverpool in the opening 45 minutes of their Premier League game at home on Sunday. Trailing 1-0 due to a 23rd-minute Luis Diaz goal, they had to wait five minutes after the break to get their first and they scored.
A bizarre Jarell Quansah mis-pass near the half-line handed the ball to Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes who took a first-time shot as he saw Liverpool custodian Caoimhin Kelleher was well off his line. The Portuguese midfielder's splendid strike travelled like a bolt to strike the left end of the Liverpool net.

Quansah was trying to find Virgil Van Dijk with a square pass. But it was too weak to reach his captain and reached Bruno instead.
Interestingly, it was the first goal scored by a Manchester United player against Liverpool from outside the box in two decades. Wayne Rooney was the last Red Devil to do so.
