During the interaction with Gaurav Kapoor, India's hero of the final against South Africa, Kohli had to ask him to repeat the question as the crowd kept chanting his name.

From hailing ace-bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who won the Player of the Tournament award as a "national treasure" to cherishing his camaraderie with captain Rohit Sharma, here are five things Virat Kohli said after the victory parade that you don't want to miss!

1. "What has happened has been phenomenal. As I said the final day in itself was truly special. I thought for a moment is it going to slip away again? And then what happened in those last 5 overs was special. "

2. "There was one guy who kept bringing us back into games again and again and again and again in this tournament. What he did bowling 2 out of those last 5 overs... was phenomenal..."

3. "Honestly, I  could not connect with the emotions of the senior players at that point of time (2011 World Cup glory). I was like, I don't understand why they were crying. For me, it felt like yeah, we won the World Cup it's as easy as that. I was 22 or 23. But now it is a different feeling."

4. "Rohit has played for so long as well. We both have been trying this for so long... trying our hardest when I was captain. He is a senior player in the team now. He's captain. I'm one of the senior players in the team. The only aim was to win India World Cup. "

5. "I don't know about breaking the internet but for the first time in 15 years of playing together, I have seen Ro (hit) show so much emotion on the field. He was crying and we hugged. For me, that's going to be a very special memory."
