Mumbai's Marine Drive was thronged by thousands ahead of Rohit Sharma-led Team India's victory parade in an open-top bus with the T20 World Cup trophy. Traffic came to a standstill along the route of the victory parade as cricket-crazy people gathered in large numbers to treat the trophy parade en route to the Wankhede.

While the victory parade was eventful, here are five instances from the event on Thursday evening that cricket fans would love to rewatch!

1. 'Rohirat' lifts the cup!

Giving goosebumps to fans all around the world, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two legends of the Indian team who retired from T20Is after the World Cup campaign, came to the forefront of the bus and raised the trophy together. 

"What a fitting tribute to their T20I career by the fans," IPL side RCB jotted while sharing the video.

2. Pant loves 'Chettan'!

Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant were the two wicketkeepers selected for the T20 World Cup. While there existed a competition between the two big-hitting stars, their relationship remains warm, the victory parade reassured. 

As the victory parade gradually progressed through the packed Mumbai roads to Wankhede, Pant and Sanju were seen taking a selfie from the top of the bus along with Mohammed Siraj. The two wicketkeepers embraced each other as they posed for the picture, the video showed. 

3. Take a bow, Rahul Dravid!

In a heartwarming gesture, local boy Rohit Sharma, the skipper, held the hand of coach Rahul Dravid and raised it before the fans. The bus was stopped at this moment Suryakumar Yadav was also seen alongside his captain and the coach. Sharma and Dravid hugged amidst a very animated-yet-happy conversation.

4. National anthem at the Wankhede

The packed stadium sang the national anthem in unity with the victors lined up on the field. A podium that read "CHAMPIONS" was kept behind them, ready for the felicitation event that was to began shortly, videos from the Wankhede showed. 

5. Wankhede turns dance floor!

In front of a packed Wankhede crowd, led by Kohli and Rohi, the Indian squad put on their dance shoes. Axar Patel held the trophy while Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj and others joined in.
