Pro Kabaddi League Auction Day 2: Jai Bhagwan, Bhavani Rajput among Top 5 players sold

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Player Auction 2024: A day after Sachin Tanwar and Iran's Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh emerged as the costliest buys, it was time for Ajith, Jai Bhagwan, Arjun and Mohd Amaan to hog the limelight as the duo emerged as the most expensive players in Category C and D of the auctions on Friday.

The two-day auction saw 118 players being sold. The 12 franchises went all guns blazing to rope in the best stars for their squads, spending a total of Rs 33.7 crores.

Here are five signings from the second day of the auctions that you don't want to miss out on:

  • Puneri Paltan get Ajith V Kumar for Rs 66 lakhs.
  • Bengaluru Bulls sign Jai Bhagwan for Rs 63 lakhs.
  • Bengal Warriorz get Arjun Rathi for Rs 41 lakhs.
  • UP Yoddhas rope in Bhavani Rajput for 45 lakhs.
  • Jaipur Pink Panthers sign Vikash Kandola for Rs 32 lakhs.

On Thursday, Sachin Tanwar and Iran's Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh emerged as the costliest players.  Sachin cost Tamil Thalaivas Rs 2.15 crores while Iranian Chiyaneh was bought by Haryana Steelers for Rs 2.07 crore. He also became the first international player to get more than Rs 2 crores in consecutive years in the history of PKL. 

As many as six more players rewrote the record books as they all landed a deal in excess of Rs 1 crore with the franchises splurging Rs 17.782 crores on the opening day of auction.

The 11th season of Pro Kabaddi League is likely to begin in October this year.
