The top run getter vs the top wicket taker in the series!

Rachin Ravindra has been one of the stars of New Zealand's historic series win against India, amassing 252 runs in the series so far, including the ongoing third and final Test at Wankhede. The Kiwis won the first Test in Bengaluru by eight wickets and the second in Pune by 113 runs.

Meanwhile, off-spinner Washington Sundar was drafted into the playing XI only in the second Test. He made an immediate impact, scalping seven wickets in the first innings and four in the second. He was also handy with the bat, scoring 18 not out and 21 in the match.

But, the highlight was how Sundar managed to bamboozle the in-form Ravindra, castling him in both the innings. In the first, the Kiwi left-hander who was batting well on 65, thought he had covered the line with a forward defensive shot, but the ball crept past the edge and hit his off-stump.

In the second innings, Ravindra lost his off-stump again, this time rocking back to play a cut.

In the ongoing Test in Mumbai, the Kiwis were going steady at 72/2 when Sundar struck again. He went wide of the crease again, and managed to spin the ball just enough to beat Ravindra's defensive prod yet again, and clip the off-stump.

In fact, Sundar's twin-strikes helped India limit the visitors to 92/3 at lunch on the opening day of the third and final Test. He drew New Zealand captain Tom Latham (28) out to defend but beat him with the drift and turn to hit the off-stump.

Pacer Akash Deep (1/22) gave India the first breakthrough, trapping Devon Conway LBW for four runs.

Will Young (38 not out) and Daryl Mitchell (11 not out) were at the crease.
