Double Olympic medallist shuttler P.V. Sindhu is all set to tie the knot this month in Udaipur. India's badminton ace will marry Hyderabad-based Venkata Datta Sai on December 22.
The pre-wedding festivities will begin on December 20.
One of India's greatest athletes, Sindhu has five world championship medals, including a gold in 2019. She won silver and bronze at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 respectively.
Sindhu, recently, ended her long title drought, clinching the Syed Modi International title in Lucknow.

Venkata Datta Sai is an executive director at Posidex Technologies. Sindhu had unveiled its new logo last month. His father, G.T. Venkateshwar Rao, is the managing director of Posidex Technologies, and has served in the Indian Revenue Service.
According to LinkedIn, Sai did his Diploma in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Foundation of Liberal and Management Education. He completed Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA Accounting and Finance from Flame University in 2018. Sai followed it up with a Master's degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from International Institute of Information Technology, Bengaluru.
He has also worked with JSW and as managing director of Sour Apple Asset Management, before joining Posidex in December 2019.
News agency PTI Sindhu's father, P.V. Ramana, as saying that the two families knew each other but the marriage was finalised only a month ago. “This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January," he told PTI. The reception will be held in Hyderabad on December 24.
“Sindhu will start her training soon after as the next season is going to be important," Ramana added.
