Leaked: YouTuber IShowSpeed's text message to idol Cristiano Ronaldo on group with MrBeast

Popular YouTuber IShowSpeed's love for Cristiano Ronaldo is no secret. The American youth often produces content celebrating the iconic footballer and degrading the Portugal captain's contemporaries and rivals. 

To the excitement of IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr, he was recently added to a WhatsApp group in which Cristiano Ronaldo was already a member. It was YouTuber MrBeast who added the 19-year-old online streamer to the group chat.

What IshowSpeed said in the group to Ronaldo has now been leaked on the internet. "Hey Ronaldo, It's Speed, we met about last year. I just wanted to say hi, and hopefully we can meet again soon. Cheers," wrote Speed.

Ahead of the teenager dropping the message, MrBeast was seen introducing him to CR7 as "the biggest streamer in the world." "Ronaldo this is speed the biggest streamer in the world, he wanted to say hi," the text read.

THE WEEK couldn't independently verify the authenticity of these chats. 

MrBeast, whose real name is James Stephen "Jimmy" Donaldson, owns the YouTube channel with the most subscribers in the world. The American was recently featured on Cristiano Ronaldo's YouTube channel. Interestingly, IshowSpeed was among the names that MrBeast suggested for Ronaldo to collaborate on his channel in the future.

IshowSpeed had met Cristiano Ronaldo in June 2023 and had shared photos on social media.  The streamer's $100,000 gaming room was inspired by his two greatest passions -- anime One Piece and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo. In a virtual tour of the room, he was seen inviting his followers saying, "Welcome to IShowSpeed's $100,000 new setup, Siuuu!" For the unversed, 'Siuuu' is the iconic signature celebration of Ronaldo's that has found takers all over the world.
