The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the schedule of the Champions Trophy, with India set to take on arch-rivals Pakistan on February 23 in Dubai.

As per the schedule, India will play all their matches, including the semifinal and final if they qualify, in Dubai.

India and Pakistan have been clubbed in Group A which also includes New Zealand and Bangladesh. Group B comprises South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan and England.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.

In the opening match, hosts Pakistan will face New Zealand in Karachi on February 19. The final is scheduled for March 9.

The deadlock over the hosting of the Champions Trophy ended last week after the ICC announced that India will play their matches of the 50-over event at a neutral venue instead of Pakistan.

Pakistan will also get a similar arrangement for tournaments to be held in India till 2027.

India had refused to travel to Pakistan for the event due to security concerns. The Indians have not played in Pakistan since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in which 150 people were killed.

Dubai was chosen as the neutral venue after a meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and his UAE counterpart Sheikh Nahyan Al Mubarak.

The reciprocal arrangement for Pakistan will cover next year's women's World Cup in India and the T20 World Cup in 2026, to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
