According to officials, serial bomb blasts have rocked Kabul, with three explosions killing one and injuring 17 more on Sunday. The attacks took place in the Western part of the city and included a sticky bomb attached to a bus that was carrying university students.
Ferdus Faramarz, a spokesman for the Kabul police chief, confirmed to AP that two other blasts were later heard from the same area, but was not able to provide more details.
According to open source intelligence (OSINT) analyst Rosanna, the bus was carrying students of Kabul Polytechnic University and was targeted by a magnetic IED device.

According to Afghan News Agency Khaama Press, one IED attack in the city was foiled by security forces, who found the device hidden under a watermelon peel.
While no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks yet, they take place just one day after a suicide bomber killed six people in front of the Marshal Fahim National Defense University in western Kabul on Saturday. That attack was claimed by IS, and was timed at noon when many students typically leave school early on account of Ramadan. The college was one of the country' main officer training academies (modelled after war colleges in the US), and was established in 2005.
