Even as China continues to battle novel coronavirus which has claimed as many as 564 lives, healthcare professionals are trying their best to be of assistance to their fellow beings. They are separated from families and have been working for long hours to help those affected with the disease.

A video, that has gone viral with nearly 10 lakh views, tells one such story of dedication and sacrifice. The video shows a young girl giving 'air hug' to her mother who is a nurse.

According to media reports, the nurse, Liu Haiyan was called to duty to the Fugou County People's Hospital in China's Henan province last month after the spread of coronavirus intensified.

She hadn't seen her nine-year-old daughter for 10 days when they were reunited on January 31. However, they could not go near each other and had to meet from a distance to ensure that the disease does not spread.

The video shows Liu Haiyan meeting her daughter Cheng Shiwen ancd husband Cheng Xiaoshen. "Mum, I miss you (translated in English in the subtitles)," the young girl, wearing protective mask says as she sobs.

"Mom is fighting monsters. I will be back home once the virus is beaten," a sobbing Liu says and spreads her hands as if to welcome her daughter in an embrace. The young girl too spreads her hands.

The girl then places a container in which she brought dumplings for her mother.
