Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, on Friday, said she has taken a drug test after a video of her dancing at a party in a private home went viral.

"I have taken a narcotic test today, the results of which will be available in about a week," she was quoted as saying, according to media reports.

The video had shows six people dancing and mimicking a song in front of a camera, including Marin. Later in the video, Marin is on her knees on what seems to be the dance floor with her arms behind her head dancing while mimicking a song.

She said even in her teenage years, she never used drugs, but decided to undergo the narcotic test "just to be sure."

After the video went viral, she had said she was disappointed that it became public. “I spent the evening with friends. Partied pretty wild, yes. Danced and sang. I have not used drugs myself, or anything other than alcohol. I have danced, sung and partied and done perfectly legal things,” she was quoted as saying.

It was unclear when the party, which reportedly was attended by Ilmari Nurminen, a member of Eduskunta, or parliament, for Marin's Social Democratic Party, and the Finnish singer Alma, was held.

Marin, who in December 2019 became Finland's youngest prime minister ever, said she spends her free time with friends just like others her age and that she intends to continue being the same person as before.
