Canada on Monday affirmed that it would continue to share intelligence with its Five Eyes partners despite leak of crucial US intelligence documents.

Reuters reported Canada confirmed it will continue to work with its Five Eyes intelligence-sharing alliance, and declined to confirm or deny any information from intelligence leak. "We do not comment, whether to confirm or deny, on allegedly leaked intelligence. As a member of the Five Eyes intelligence network, Canada has a robust intelligence-sharing programme with the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand and we will continue to work hand in hand with" them, Reuters quoted Audrey Champoux, a spokesperson of Canada's Public Safety ministry as saying.

According to reports, the leaked documents include information about the war in Ukraine, including losses on both sides and details on Israel's Mossad. Reuters reported that US officials suspect that the leaker could be American, given the breadth of topics covered by the documents, but they do not rule out Russia's role.

Russia however denied any role in the intelligence leak. Kremlin on Monday said it has become a tendency to blame Moscow for everything. Reuters quoted Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov as saying, "I cannot comment on this in any way. You and I know that there is in fact a tendency to always blame everything on Russia. It is, in general, a disease."
