Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is reportedly engaged to his partner, Lauren Wendy Sanchez, after popping the big question on his $500 million superyacht.
The couple walked the red carpet for the premiere of Killers of the Flower Moon at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.
Sanchez, 53, is a former broadcast journalist and has been featured in various films. She recently spoke with CNN about her thoughts on space travel and her plans to carry on the legacy of Blue Origin's founder. Last year, Bezzos's Blue Origin successfully launched its fifth tourist flight to space. Black Ops Aviation, the first female-owned aerial film and production firm, was also established by Lauren in 2016.
Since Sanchez was seen wearing a large heart-shaped ring, there have been persistent rumours that the couple is engaged. Bezos and Sanchez started dating each other in 2018 and made their relationship official in 2019, but Sanchez kept a low profile up until his divorce from his first wife, MacKenzie Scott, who demanded $38 billion as a divorce settlement. He shares four children with MacKenzie. Sanchez, on the other hand, shares two kids, Ella and Evan, with her ex-husband, Patrick Whitesell, and Nikko, her 22-year-old son, with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.
Bezos and Sanchez were spotted on his luxury yacht in Spain and at the F1 Miami Grand Prix in May. Besides, the couple showed up together in April during Coachella.
