A BBC presenter has been accused of paying a teenager sexually explicit photos from the age of 17. According to the Sun, the presenter, who hasn't been named has paid the teen around £35,000 ($44,934) for the photographs.
The BBC, in a report, has stated that they are looking into the allegations and that the accused presenter is not scheduled to be on air in the coming days. The mother of the youngster told Sun that her child sold the pictures to the presenter to fund a crack cocaine habit.
The mother complained to BBC on May 19 and said the family was frustrated that the presenter remained on air. The mother said her child had gone from being a "happy-go-lucky youngster to a ghost-like crack addict" in three years.
The mother also said that the star showed himself in his underwear "waiting for my child to perform for him".
Following the allegations, different BBC presenters took to Twitter to deny they are the presenter in question.
Broadcaster Rylan Clark tweeted that he was not the presenter, saying "that ain't me babe" and adding that he is filming in Italy for a BBC programme.
BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine also said the allegations are not about him.
He tweeted: "Just to say I'm very much looking forward to hosting my radio show on Monday — whoever the 'BBC Presenter' in the news is, I have the same message for you as Rylan did earlier: it certainly ain't me."
