As the tensions along the border for Israel intensifies, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday warned Iran and Hezbollah to not ‘test' them.

Netanyahu was speaking in Israeli Knesset on Monday in which he said the world needed to unite to defeat Hamas. “This war is also your war,” he said. While addressing the Knesset, Netanyahu also said "we will triumph because it's about our very existence in this region, which is fraught with dark forces."

"Hamas is part of the evil axis of Iran and Hezbollah. They aim to plunge the Middle East into an abyss of chaos," he added.

He also compared the Hamas to the Nazis. "Now, many around the world understand who Israel is facing. They comprehend that Hamas represents a new version of Nazism. Just as the world united to defeat the Nazis and ISIS, so it must unite to defeat Hamas," said Netanyahu adding that the nation is committed to bringing their brothers and sisters back.

Meanwhile, Israel's President Isaac Herzog said that dangerous voices are attempting to sow seeds of division and hatred. "Many in the Israeli public are experiencing a crisis of trust. The state and its institutions must align themselves with the standards set by the people," he said.

Netanyahu’s warnings come amid tensions rising along the Lebanon border with Hezbollah intensifying the attacks and Iran ‘threatening’ to join the conflict.

Israel was forced to evacuate its resident within 2km close to the Lebanon border.

In a statement by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and the ministry of defence said the plan had been approved by the defence secretary, Yoav Gallant, and included the evacuation of 28 settlements. According to authorities, the residents will be moved to state-subsidised guest houses.

Also, Hezbollah said that they have destroyed surveillance cameras placed on five points along the Lebanon-Israel border, including one outside the Israeli town of Metula.  Hezbollah added that it has targeted five Israeli positions in northern Israel, reported Reuters.

Tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border intensified since the October 7 Hamas attack.
