In a shocking development in USA's Florida, a 23-year-old woman was shot dead by her teen brother who was jealous that her sister received more gifts on Christmas. The shooter was then fired at by his other sibling, also a teen, suspectably to save his sister. The entire episode unfolded in front of the victim's 10-year-old child, media reports said.

The horrific development reportedly happened in Florida's Pinellas County on Tuesday, reports said. The victim was identified as Abrielle Baldwin, mother of two. According to reports, Baldwin was at loggerheads with her 14-year-old brother over Christmas presents. The victim reportedly received more presents than her younger brother. In a fit of rage following an argument, the minor fatally gunned down the woman while she was carrying her firstborn in a carrier, the BBC said in a report.

Although she was later rushed to a hospital, the doctors reportedly pronounced her brought dead.

Meanwhile, Abrielle Baldwin's other sibling was shocked to see the dispute between his siblings escalating beyond imagination. The 15-year-old quickly drew his gun and shot his brother before fleeing the spot, the report added.

However, the bullet wound inflicted on the boy was not life-threatening. Both the boys no remain under police custody, Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told the press. Local prosecutors are yet to decide whether to charge the teenager as an adult for the murder, he said.

It remains unclear how the two minors got hold of their "personal" sidearms.
