A man in England's Derbyshire needed surgery to reattach his testicles after being attacked by a Bully dog, reports said. The Chesterfield native's partner, who was also attacked by the dog is still recovering from her injuries -- almost three months after the attack.
According to British media, the terrible incident happened on October 10, when the two victims were attacked by an XL Bully dog named Envie. Weighing over 45 kilograms, the adult dog first attacked the man, who spoke to the media on condition of anonymity. His partner arrived at the scene hearing ruckus and found the man "writhing on the floor," Metro UK said in a report. She was shocked to learn that the man's genital area was severely injured by the dog.
However, before she could call an ambulance, the dog attacked her -- badly injuring her shin. However, the woman identified as Lynsey Kelly, bravely fought back and managed to lock up the violent canine inside a room. After getting the dog to enter the room, Kelly reportedly latched it from inside before escaping through a window.
Kelly then called for help and got her partner rushed to a hospital. The man reportedly underwent surgery to get his testicles reattached. He needed as many as 32 stitches in his arm and eight in his genital area, the news report added.
Envie was later euthanised on the backdrop of the incident.
