Ukraine's Zelenskyy sacks top army commander, Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Thursday. The official announcement came after Zelenskyy met with the top general and told him that it's time for someone new to lead the army. Zaluzhnyi was replaced by Oleksandr Syrskyi.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy said he thanks Gen. Valerii Zaluzhnyi for his two years of service and discussed possible replacements for the top military job. The time for such a renewal is now," Zelenskyy said.

Earlier there were speculations that Zelenskyy would 'reset' the top order as the war with Russia was intensifying.
