A shooting incident in the University City neighbourhood of San Diego on Saturday night left one person dead and an another injured. San Diego police has launched an investigation to find the suspect behind the incident.
According to the police, the incident happened near the Westfield UTC shopping mall. Shots were fired, reportedly, around 8:41 pm at Nobel Drive and Lombard Place, close to Palisade UTC.
Due to a police investigation, Nobel Drive will be closed in both directions between Genesee Ave. & Towne Centre Drive.

San Diego Police Department Watch Commander Officer Rober Heims said both victims were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, reported NBC News.
Police presently do not have any information about the suspect.
SDPD's Homicide Unit is probing the incident.
According to SDPD Officer Darius Jamsetjee, the mall was not involved in the shooting. The scenario was contained to the street, he added.
Meanwhile, the residents in the area told the media that shooting incidents were not common in the area. “It’s scary to think there’s an active shooter situation over there,” a resident Melissa Fulton was quoted by NBC News.
