Trump launches gold high-top sneaker line

The shoes have an American flag detailing on them

Election 2024 Trump

Former US president Donald Trump launched his sneaker brand, 'Trump Sneakers' at a Sneaker Con event in Philadelphia. This comes a day after a court ordered Trump and his company to pay nearly $355 million in a New York civil fraud case. Trump called it the "first official Trump footwear". The shoes have an American flag detailing on them.

As part of the judgement, the court also banned Trump's sons, Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump from serving as directors at his company for two years.

The shows are being sold as Never Surrender High-Tops for $399 on a new website (www.gettrumpsneakers.com) that also sells Trump-branded Victory47 cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle, an AP report reads. The announcement, reportedly, was met with loud boos as well as cheers at the Philadelphia Convention Centre.

Trump, who's inching closer to be the Republican nominee for the elections in November, would be the 47th president if elected again.

The penalty in a New York civil fraud case comes after he was ordered to pay writer E Jean Carroll $83.3 million for damaging her reputation after she accused him of sexual assault. Reacting to the order, Trump said, "A crooked New York state judge just ruled I have to pay a fine for $355m for having built a perfect company," BBC reported.
