Two people were shot dead and one person got seriously injured when gunfire erupted in Bronx's University Heights neighbourhood on Friday.
According to the police officials, a 36-year-old male and 44-year-old female were shot dead. Both were shot in the chest at 2290 Davidson Ave around 12:15 am, added the officials.
However, the third victim, a 40-year-old, was shot in the right arm.
The victims were rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in Belmont soon after the incident.
Two men dressed in all black were reportedly spotted fleeing the scene on a red moped around the time of the shooting and are considered to be suspects, reported the New York Post.
