Even as US Vice President and Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris delivered a rousing speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Donald Trump reacted to it on Truth Social.

Referring to the scathing criticism directed at him by Harris, Trump posted, “IS SHE TALKING ABOUT ME?”

Harris, in her speech, warned America of "extremely serious" consequences of putting Trump back in White House. "In the enduring struggle between democracy and tyranny, I know where I stand and I know where the United States belongs," she said. She reminded the citizens of the “chaos and calamity” that was prevalent when Trump was the US president. She also highlighted the court cases against him.

As Harris talked about her parents and early ambitions, Trump posted, "A lot of talk about childhood, we've got to get to the Border, Inflation, and Crime!"

In subsequent posts on Truth Social, the Republican presidential nominee slammed Harris's speech, saying she stands for “incompetence and weakness”, and that asked why she, as the vice president, had not fulfilled the policy promises over the past three and a half years.

Trump repeatedly questioned why Harris hadn't already accomplished the policy proposals she has put forward as part of her reelection campaign while serving as vice president.

Reacting to Harris's remarks on Israel, Trump said that she “hated Israel”, referring to her absence when Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Congress during his last visit to the US.

Trump went on to target her on illegal immigration. "She talked about the Rule of Law but, as Border Czar, she allowed 20 Million people into our Country, many of them Criminals, who are MAIMING and KILLING our people!"

In another post, he called Harris a “radical Marxist”. “She just called to give all Illegals CITIZENSHIP, SAY GOODBYE TO THE U.S.A.! SHE IS A RADICAL MARXIST!”

In a phone-in interview with Fox News after Harris's speech, Trump asked "why didn't she do the things that she's complaining about" while being part of the Joe Biden administration.

"She could have done it three and a half years ago. She could do it tonight by leaving the auditorium and going to Washington, D.C. and closing the border," Trump added. "She doesn't need a bill. I didn't have a bill. I closed the border and created the safest border we've ever had in the history of our country."

Harris and Trump are set to face off in a debate hosted by ABC News on September 10 in Philadelphia.
