The video of the incident, which has gone viral, shows a Navy parachutist with a banner attached to him crashing into the crowd. A mother and her teenager suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Meanwhile, reportedly, the parachutist did not suffer any injuries.
Reacting to the incident, the Navy said that they would review the incident. "Our thoughts are with the individual and their family. Safety is our number one priority," the Navy told KTVU in a statement.
The Navy also said that they cannot immediately assess what happened and will review the incident.
Recalling the incident, a man, who was at the site of the incident, said that it was quite "shocking". "We all feared for the parachutist and the people's lives. We were not sure where exactly he was going to land. It was a relief that they suffered only minor injuries," he said.
The Navy, on its website, said the Leap Frogs have "performed gravity-defying demonstrations across the country in a show of the Navy’s exceptional skill."
"Every member of the team has joined this performance group after years of real-world special operations work," it adds.
"Comprised of active-duty Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combat Crewmen, Divers, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians and Aircrew Survival Equipmentmen, the Leap Frogs demonstrate best-in-class training offered by Navy Special Warfare."
