Israel Defense Forces on Saturday released a video of the slain Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar passing through an underground tunnel under their home in Khan Younis.

The footage showed Sinwar, his wife and children walking inside the tunnel with their bags of supplies as they head to their bunker. The supplies included food, water, clothes and even a plasma screen TV. The bunker was later discovered by the IDF.

Israel claimed that Sinwar was the brain behind the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that killed more than 1,200 Israeli citizens. The newly surfaced video is dated October 6, 2023, hours before Hamas launched its attack on Israel.

IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Sinwar and his family members escape to an underground compound just hours before the brutal massacre. Hagari revealed that the bunker had facilities such as kitchen, toilets and showers, which indicated that Sinwar was preparing for a prolonged stay.

Sinwar has been hiding from Israeli radar for more than a year until he was killed recently. Another IDF video showed a tank strike targeting Sinwar's building. Drone footage that surfaced after Sinwar's death captured the final moments of the Hamas chief who was seen throwing an object at the drone. Israel said Sinwar was killed by a gunshot to his head.

On Friday, Sinwar's deputy Khalil Al-Hayya said Hamas would not return Israeli hostages until IDF withdrew from Gaza and the war ended. Following this, Israel has pounder Gaza and Beirut killing more than 100 people. Around 73 were killed in Gaza, according to figures released by Hamas media office.

This came after a drone was launched at Benjamin Netanyahu's holiday residence in Israel when the Prime Minister and his wife was not home. No casualties were reported in the attack.
