Will former model Stacey Williams’s groping allegation affect Donald Trump's poll prospects?

With just two weeks to the US elections, Williams has accused Trump of ‘sexual misconduct’ at an event organised by Survivors for Kamala, supporting Democratic candidate Harris’s campaign

In the latest allegation, former United States President Donald Trump was accused of groping model Stacey Williams, who had met the Republican candidate through the late sexual abuser Jeffrey Epstein back in the 90s.

The model, Stacey Williams, alleged that the former US president touched her sexually in Trump Tower back in 1993. It was a "twisted game" between two men, she said.

Williams said she had met Trump in 1992 at a Christmas party after being introduced by Epstein, who had casually dated her for a few months.

"Donald and he were really, really good friends and spent a lot of time together," said Williams.

The groping incident took place in 1993 when Epstein suggested to visit Trump at Trump Tower while they were on a walk.

Later, Epstein was convicted of sex offences and killed himself in prison in 2019.

Williams alleged that the moment she met Trump at the Tower, he had pulled her closer and started groping her. "Hands were all over my breasts, waist and buttocks," she said.

Being frozen by the incident, she recalled that she was in a "deeply confused" state.

Denying the allegations, Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary for Trump's campaign, said that these accusations were "unequivocally false".

"These accusations, made by a former activist for Barack Obama and announced on a Harris campaign call two weeks before the election...is a fake story," the statement read.

Williams, 56, a native of Pennsylvania, has shared her allegations on social media posts earlier. The details of the alleged incident were shared by Williams on a call on Monday organised by a group called Survivors for Kamala, which supports Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

This is not the first sexual misconduct allegation against Trump. The Survivors for Kamala also took out an ad in the New York Times this week, signed by 200 survivors of sexual and gender violence.

During the call, Williams said that Epstein was angry at her after they left Trump Tower. "Why did you let him do that?" Epstein had asked leaving her feeling "disgusted" and "utterly confused".

At the Trump Tower, Williams had mentioned that she had seen both men exchanging smiles when Trump was touching her inappropriately, reported the Guardian.

About two dozen women have accused Trump, who has been convicted of multiple felonies, of sexual misconduct dating back decades.

A former model Amy Dorris has also accused Trump of sexual misconduct.

Last year, a jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing the columnist E Jean Carroll in 1996 and awarded her $5m in a judgment.
