Who was Jaafar Khader Faour?

Jaafar Khader Faour was responsible for carrying out multiple rocket attacks targeting the Golan.

These include a rocket strike that killed Israeli civilians from Kibbutz Ortal and another attack on Majdal Shams that killed 12 children and injured many.

IDF said he was also behind the strike on Metula that claimed the lives of five civilians last Thursday.

Faour was also said to have carried out attacks from eastern Lebanon, from which the first rocket launches toward Israeli territory were fired on October 8.

Earlier, IDF said they killed two other Hezbollah commanders in Tyre. One of them was identified as Mousa Izz al-Din, the commander of Hezbollah’s forces in the coastal sector.

The second person killed in the attack was Hassan Majid Daib, Hezbollah’s artillery commander in the coastal sector, under whose orders an attack was launched towards the Haifa Bay on Thursday.

This comes as Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatened a "teeth-breaking" response to Israel and the US after Tehran's military facilities were attacked in October.
