Despite a shocking poll survey predicting Kamala Harris would win in Iowa, former President Donald Trump has won the red state.

Iowa has six electoral votes, all of which now goes to Trump's kitty. A minimum of 270 electoral votes are needed to claim a majority out of the 538 votes.

Trump had dominated the Iowa GOP caucuses earlier in 2024, which has reflected in the presidential elections too.

Iowa voters who picked Barack Obama, a Democrat, in 2008 and 2012, picked Trump in 2016 and 2020. With the latest victory, this is the third time Trump is winning in a row.

This comes after 'Iowa polling queen' J Ann Selzer, who is known for her accuracy, predicted on Saturday that Trump was trailing behind Harris in the state. Selzer's poll had observers from Democratic and Republican parties.
