The early trends in the US elections are on the expected lines as Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are gaining in their respective strongholds. But there is a clear winner in the betting markets and that is the former US President.
Trump surged to a record high in betting markets with 72 per cent chance of victory with a crucial lead in Georgia, which is one of the seven battleground states that will determine the US election results.
People continue to modify their bets as new trends emerge in the US election results. Though Trump seems to have lost ground in poll surveys, people are still confident of betting for the Republican.
Election betting markets like PredictIt, Polymarket and Kalshi gives a glimpse of public perception about the US election results. Harris is leading by a small margin on PredictIt while Kalshi gives Trumpp an edge over the vice president.
Reports suggest that Trump is set to win in Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Mississippi, Texas, Ohio, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Arkansas.
On the other hand, Harris is ready to clinch wins in Illinois, Vermont, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York.
