As President-elect Donald Trump declared victory at his Mar-a-Lago residence on Wednesday morning, it wasn't his daughter Ivanka who hogged the limelight but Lara Trump, the stunning wife of his son Eric Trump.

Lara, who was the current Republican National Convention co-chair and TV presenter, shined in a sheer black sequined shirt and black pants and was seen standing next to Trump himself. Her glee was evident as it was her relentless campaigning that earned Lara the moniker of Trump's right-hand woman.

Lara's abilities also won her applause from supporters of the Republican party and Trump with many saying she deserved so much credit for the victory. Her "integrity and focus" were also applauded by the social media.

But, it was Ivanka's decision to stay away from politics that paved the way for 'ambitious' Lara Trump. Though Ivanka's presence on the stage while Trump delivered the Election Day speech set off rumours that she would be back in the White House, it is unlikely that the First Daughter will be back in White House.

A report quoting close aides of Ivanka has clarified that she and her husband Jared Kushner have zero plans to move to Washington from Miami, where they are settled now.

Reason: Their stint as advisors in the Trump administration from 2017 to 2020 cost them a lot of their liberal friends, New York Post quoted sources.

The sources added that though Ivanka is proud of her father and she loves him, his last presidency took its toll on her. "There were friends who turned their back on Ivanka and Jared because of Donald, and that was hurtful. Now she has a great life, her thoughts are she does not need to be working in the White House to make a difference," the source added.

However, Ivanka will still be working on child safety on the internet and child trafficking issues as these things were what she did during Trump's first stint.
