A week after the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton was attacked by pro-Khalistani agitators on November 3, the principal organiser of the Khalistan referendum in Canada was arrested on Friday.
Identified as Inderjeet Gosal, the accused was arrested by Peel Regional Police in connection with the attack on the temple and devotees at The Gore Road in Brampton.
The attacker was slapped with assaulting with weapon charge and later released under certain conditions.
Who is Inderjeet Gosal?
Inderjeet Gosal, who is reportedly a lieutenant of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, succeeded Hardeep Singh Nijjar as the Khalistan referendum's chief organiser in Canada.
The 35-year-old has to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on a later date.

Peel Regional Police said they are probing several offences of which many are seen in viral videos.
Some of the attackers used flags and sticks to attack the devotees. The investigators are examining hundreds of videos of the assault in order to identify other suspects.
