Fox Business host Sean Duffy has been nominated as Donald Trump's Transportation Secretary. He will replace Pete Buttigieg in January.
This comes after president-elect Trump picked another Fox News host, Pete Hegseth, as his Defence Secretary.

In his announcement on Truth Social, Trump said Sean was a tremendous and well-liked public servant, who was admired across the aisle.

Trump said Duffy will help "maintain and rebuild our Nation’s Infrastructure, and fulfil our Mission of ushering in The Golden Age of Travel, focusing on Safety, Efficiency, and Innovation".
Who is Sean Duffy?
Sean Duffy is a father to nine children and a former Congressman. He is known for his stint in the MTV series, 'Real World', in the 1990s.

Duffy's wife is Rachel Campos-Duffy, another Fox News personality. The couple met on the reality show, Road Rules: All Stars, in 1998.
Praising Campos-Duffy, Trump said, "The husband of a wonderful woman, Rachel Campos-Duffy, a STAR on Fox News, and the father of nine incredible children, Sean knows how important it is for families to be able to travel safely, and with peace of mind."
Later, Duffy quit reality TV career to focus on politics. He was elected House Representative from Wisconsin's seventh congressional district in 2011 before retring in 2019.
A year later, Duffy became a Fox News contributor. In 2023, he started hosting The Bottom Line on Fox Business. On Monday, his replacement host announced that Duffy has been picked as Transportation Secretary.
