Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have not paid their taxes, a court found out, enabling the police to seize more than £2 million from them, reports said.

Tristan and Andrew Tate didn't pay a penny in tax on £21 million of revenue from their online businesses, the Westminster Magistrates Court ruled on Wednesday. Devon and Cornwall Police have brought a legal case to seize their money held in seven frozen bank accounts, The Guardian said in a report. The siblings and a woman identified only as J were found to be the joint owners of these accounts, the British media added.

Meanwhile, Andrew Tate, known for his misogynistic, macho social media presence, claimed the court ruling was "not justice", and called it a "coordinated attack".

While delivering the order, the Chief Magistrate found that what may appear as a “complex financial matrix” from the outside for many was actually a “straightforward cheat of the revenue”. The brothers couldn't present before the court any evidence relating to tax payments and the Police can seize £2,683,345 in total, the ruling said.

J, whose whereabouts were not immediately available, is believed to be used by the brothers to elude tax payment. In return, they paid her  £805,000 into her Revolut account. Part of the money police applied to seize from the dup was cryptocurrency held in an account in J’s name, The Guardian said.

Who is Andrew Tate?

British-American Andrew Tate, 38, who is no stranger to controversies, made news in October when he made a racially fuelled comment against Punjabi rockstar Diljit Dosanjh. During his 2024 India Tour, Dosanjh handing over his jacket to an emotional fan had gone viral on the internet. However, Andrew Tate's tasteless comment on the matter gave the sweet moment another dimension. He wrote, "Bet it stinks of curry."

Early this year, Andrew Tate was accused of rape by two British women. The brothers are also accused of human trafficking by Romanian authorities as well, reports show. They are being investigated for rape of minors and human trafficking.
