During his inaugural address on Monday, President Donald Trump declared that the "golden era of the United States begins right now."
"We will be the envy of every nation, and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer during every single day of the Trump administration, I will, very simply, put America first,” he said.
He also vowed to end the "weaponisation" of the justice department. "The vicious, violent and unfair weaponisation of the justice department and our government will end," he said.
While attacking the Joe Biden administration, Trump said that America will no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency. The recent Los Angeles fire and the hurricane calamity was mentioned during his speech at Capitol Rotunda.
Reiterating his stance on immigration polices, Trump said that he will impose strict anti-migration polices. "I will sign a series of historic executive orders...First, I will declare a national emergency at our southern border...We will reinstate my “remain in Mexico” policy," he said.
He added that troops will be send to southern border to repel the disastrous invasion of America.
Trump also vowed to bring down the prices and export American energy all over the world. "We will end the Green New Deal, and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry and keeping my sacred pledge to our great American auto workers," he added.
Raising fears of further marginalisation of the transgender community, Trump said that there will be henceforth be only two genders male and female. "
