Huma Qureshi has been revealing inside details of her love for food, fashion and fitness in Zee Zest’s new show, Fit Fab Feast with Huma Qureshi. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor also has a slew of interesting projects lined up, from Zack Snyder’s zombie flick, Army of the Dead, to Sriram Raghavan’s Monica, O My Darling, opposite Rajkummar Rao.
Q\ How difficult was it to expose your private life to public scrutiny in Fit Fab Feast?
A\ It was not so difficult. I have enjoyed sharing my thoughts and ideas about wellness. It almost felt like I was sharing a gift of knowledge about food, fashion and fitness—three very important aspects of my life. If, with this show, the audience can implement a small change in their lifestyle and health, it would make me really happy.
Q\ As a celebrity, does the pressure to look good and say the right things all the time get to you?
A\ Yes it does. But acting is something that I have chosen and I am happy that this is a part of my life, so I cannot really complain about it. I honestly do not think too much about it. I try and put out in the world what I want to say and do not read much about what people, or trolls, have to say about me on social media. One should really celebrate looking good, feeling good, eating the right things and exercising. Once all that happens, the pressure automatically goes and it does not seem like a struggle anymore.
Q\ Next year, you complete a decade in Bollywood. How would you describe your journey so far?
A\ My journey has been very exciting, and I have grown as a person, an actor and a performer. Now, of course, FFF has given me a platform to build a solid connection and relationship with my fans. It has been an exciting journey for me, and I feel truly blessed and grateful to live my dream. How many people actually get a chance to do something or live the life they always dreamt of?
Q\ What is left in your bucket list? Dream roles? People you want to work with?
A\ I honestly have a lot in my bucket list. I want to travel, read more books and work on more films. I have tons of people I want to work with.
