The next US presidential election is set for November 5, 2024. The current president, Joe Biden, seeks re-election while former president, Donald Trump, is running for his second non-consecutive term.
Bangladesh is gearing up for its next general election on January 7, 2024. The incumbent Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, who has been holding the post since 2009, is set to run for the elections for a fourth term.
Russia’s eighth presidential election is scheduled for March 15-17, 2024, which would proceed to a runoff on April 7 if no candidate secures more than half the votes. The newly elected president will be sworn into office on May 7.
Another neighbour of India will also hold general elections on February 8, 2024. The frontrunners of Pakistan general elections are ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Indonesia’s general elections, slated to be held on February 14, 2024, will determine the new President, Vice President and People’s Consultative Assembly. The newly elected will be inaugurated on October 20, 2024.
