Bharat Mart, which will span over 100,000 square metre, will be a multipurpose facility hosting retail, warehouse and hospitality amenities.
The mart, which will be located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), is expected to be open by 2025.
Bharat Mart aims to provide a one-stop shop for exporters to showcase Indian products to the diaspora as well as customers from other countries.
The facility, which will cut the cost and time for shipping goods, will help exporters planning to foray into US, European and African markets.
This is similar to the much-hyped Dragon Mart, a set of two adjacent shopping malls in Dubai International City. It is the largest Chinese trading hub outside mainland China.
