Notre Dame celebrates first mass since 2019 fire

Five years after the devastating fire, the Notre Dame de Paris cathedral celebrated its first mass on Sunday.

Archbishop of Paris Monsignor Laurent Ulrich consecrated the cathedral's new altar and hosted the mass

In 2019, a structural fire broke out in the roof of the cathedral. By the time the fire was extinguished, the cathedral's wooden spire had collapsed and most of the roof had been destroyed.
