Namo Bharat trains now in Delhi: Travel time reduced by one-third

The 13-km section of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor from Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh to New Ashok Nagar in Delhi was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

The Prime Minister marked the first journey by travelling on the Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad station to New Ashok Nagar station.

There are 11 stations in the 55-km RRTS corridor from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South.

Trains are available every 15 minutes and the fare from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South station is Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach.
