This Independence Day saw the release of Stree 2, a sequel to 2018 horror-comedy Stree.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, the sequel stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
Within a week of its release, it is on the way to become the highest grossing Hindi film of the year.
With a whopping Rs 291 crore, Stree 2 recorded the highest first week collection, surpassing KGF 2 and Baahubali 2.
Stree 2 also became the fastest film to cross Rs 400 crore in Bollywood.
The film also broke the records for the biggest horror-comedy opening, biggest sequel opening and biggest female-led movie opening in Bollywood.
