Payne and Tweedy first met in 2008 on 'The X Factor', when he was 14 and she was 24. Their relationship, however, started much later.
Payne returned to 'The X Factor'; and One Direction was formed while Tweedy was still a judge.
In December, One Direction returned to 'The X Factor' as guest performers for the finale of the 12th season of the show.
In February, just a month after Tweedy filed for divorce from her then-husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, rumours that Payne and Tweedy were dating emerged.
In May, the couple made their relationship official with a public appearance at the Global Gift Gala in Paris.
Payne and Tweedy announced the birth of their son, Bear Payne.
After nearly two-and-a-half-years of dating, the pair decided to split but made a mutual decision to co-parent Bear.
