5 Banned WWE finishing moves
Billy Kidman gave Chavo Guerrero a severe concussion by executing this acrobatic finisher wrong. This led to the move being banned before its eventual lift. Evan Bourne is another iconic wrestler known for performing SSP.
In 2015, Tyson Kidd's career was ended by a Samoa Joe Muscle Buster, forcing the company to ban the move. The spinal injury could have cost the Canadian his life. However, Joe was allowed to use it elsewhere even after the incident.
A variation of the piledriver, Hurricane Helms used it as a finisher for a while. If the opponent fails to tuck his/her head from hitting the mat, the move could prove dangerous.
WWE's fallen star Chris Benoit executed the move for years before being ruled too dangerous by the company. Repeated strikes to the head were proven bad for the wrestlers as they caused concussions.
Seth Rollins was asked to find another finishing move in 2015, fearing kids watching the show may not realise the trick behind its safe execution and end up hurting themselves or others.
