Classical vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan, 55, died in Kolkata while undergoing treatment for prostate cancer. He belonged to the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana.

Delhi Ganesh:

Versatile Tamil actor Delhi Ganesh passed away at the age of 80 in Chennai due to age-related ailments. Known for his dynamic roles, he was a celebrated figure in Tamil cinema.

Suhani Bhatnagar:

'Dangal' actor Suhani Bhatnagar passed away at 19 in Delhi from dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory disease that was diagnosed only ten days prior to her death.

Vikas Sethi:

Known for his role in 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay', Vikas Sethi, the 48-year-old television actor, passed away due to sudden cardiac issues, leaving his fans and colleagues in shock.

Shyam Benegal:

Father of India’s parallel cinema Shyam Benegal, who directed 'Ankur' and 'Nishant', passed away in Mumbai at the age of 90 after suffering from chronic kidney disease.

M. T. Vasudevan Nair:

The prominent figure of Malayalam literature, the eminent writer and Jnanpith Award honoree, M. T. Vasudevan Nair, passed away at 91 years of age.

Zakir Hussain:

Valuable to audiences all around the world and well known for Indian classical music, the tabla maestro Zakir Hussain passed away at 73 from a chronic lung disease called idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Pankaj Udhas:

Legendary ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas died at 72 in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. He was known for his contributions to Bollywood music and ghazals, especially for 'Chithi Aayi Hai' and 'Chandi Jaisa Rang Hai Tera'.
