Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan recently showed-off their new Chennai studio to Architecture Digest India, and they have every reason to be proud of it.

The expansive 7,000 square foot property was converted from a colonial-style bungalow into a rustic and traditional home studio

The studio is located in Chennai’s Venus Colony, a prime residential colony in the city

Straying away from the modern, the house was designed by Nikhita Reddy of The Storey Collective who wanted to bring in “lots of natural light” into the space

The massive studio features a conference room, a lounge space for guests, outdoor backyard dining area, a living room, bedrooms for guests, and separate offices for the couple

Nayanthara’s favourite part of the studio is her husband’s office and the terrace café lounge, which she loves using for hosting guests

The house overall is a harmonious fusion of modern structure and sleek finishes with old-fashion rustic style complete with earthy tones
