WHO has called for a global ban on flavoured vapes or e-cigarettes. It says that children between 13 and 15 years are more prone to the usage of vapes than adults. The adverse effects of e-cigarettes include:
Increased dependence on nicotine often leads to cravings, withdrawal symptoms and difficulty in breathing.
It can result in EVALI (e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury), leading to extensive lung damage, causing cough, shortage of breath and chest pain.
Free radicals will be released, which can cause cancer
Immune system becomes weak
Brain development will be delayed in foetuses, children and teenagers.
They contain carcinogenic substances such as acetaldehyde and formaldehyde.
