BJP purchases MLAs when it fails to form govt alleges Tejashwi

Chatra (Jharkhand), Nov 8 (PTI) RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday accused the BJP of "buying" MLAs in states where it fails to form a government.
In Bihar, the saffron party "grabbed" the chief minister to come to power, he claimed while addressing an election rally in Jharkhand's Chatra.
"The BJP purchases MLAs in states where it cannot form governments. In Bihar, when they failed to topple the government, they 'grabbed' the Chief Minister," referring to the alliance between Nitish Kumar and the saffron party.
Referring to demonetisation by the Narendra Modi government in 2016, Yadav said he paid tributes to the victims on its anniversary and termed the move as the "biggest scam in world's history".
He also charged the BJP with sowing seeds of hatred to divide the country, while trying to destroy democracy and the Constitution.
Addressing another rally in Chhatarpur in Palamu district, Yadav alleged that BJP misleads people by dividing society in the name of religion.
"For speedy development of the state, the INDIA bloc government is needed here. The RJD will extend its full cooperation in the formation of the government under chief minister Hemant Soren here," he said.
Yadav alleged that BJP ruled Jharkhand for the highest period but it did nothing for its development.
"There has been a BJP-led government at the Centre for the past 11 years but it never took problems of Jharkhand seriously and did not make any effort for its solutions," Yadav alleged.
The Jharkhand assembly polls are set for November 13 and 20. The votes will be counted on November 23.
