Gautham Azad's start up gives advice to companies on number game

Bengaluru based mechanical engineer, Gautham Azad had a penchant for numbers ever since he was in engineering college. Having worked in an MNC for many years, he decided to pursue numerology and founded his start up 'NummeroBay' in 2014.

Now his start up is into full time advising other start ups and companies based on the number game and how to tweak their logos or letters for maximum business benefits. He feels that numerology is not a whim to experiment on others’ lives but a self-tested medicine that he has studied in depth. “My engineering background allowed me to practise numerology more as a science than superstition,” he says.

Azad just needs to know a person's birth date and the spelling of ones name. He then calculates in his mind all the numbers and connects it to ones favorable and non-favorable planets and then decodes it with a number. He does all the computing in his mind.

“These days many start ups are vary about the success of their business as majority of the start up ideas can end in a failure. My solutions are as simple as adding an extra alphabet in ones name or deleting an alphabet in a name, brand or logo. I feel the company should use colours as per the element of their business and the date of a company's incorporation matters a lot. Moreover the product and brand name with numerology have higher rates of success,” adds Azad.

Interestingly there are many companies and start ups who claim to have benefited from Azad's numerology. Azad suggested changing the spelling of an online fashion store and their design studio—SAJJ -THE DESIGN STUDIO. “After change in the name we opened our design studio in Bengaluru and saw good surge in business. Our logo has been conceptualised as per numerology and the business and growth has been consistent since then,” said Ranjana Roy, the founder of this design studio.

Delhi-based start up Banaras Heritage Limited owns two brands—Vedicbrahman.com and Vedicrafts. While vedicbrahman.com is a web portal to cater to religious services in India and abroad, Vedicrafts is into traditional crafts of India and promotes handmade products. “Our company's name and product name has been decided numerically and we have benefited in terms of our business and we started getting foreign clients for our product and services,” said Piyush K. Srivastava, the director of this company.
