In a letter submitted before the Kerala state home secretary, actor Dileep, who was accused of plotting an attack against a fellow actress, sought a CBI probe, claiming that evidence was fabricated to trap him. In the 12-page letter, Dileep said that he did not know Pulsar Suni, the first accused who waylaid and attacked the actress in a moving car on the night of February 17.
According to Dileep, Kerala police chief Loknath Behera and ADGP Sandhya played a role in ensuring his arrest.
The complaints and evidences that he gave the police when the main accused Suni tried to contact him were ignored, he claimed. "The stand taken by the DGP and ADGP are suspicious. Therefore, the investigation should be given to honest officers who are not part of the current probe or by another agency such as the CBI,” he said in his letter.
