WATCH: Coldplay's Chris Martin appears in 'Modern Family'

The latest episode of everyone's favourite TV sitcom family had a pleasant surprise in store for the fans. Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin made his appearance in the show Modern Family, and he did not forget to pack some comedy gems along the way. 

The episode starts with Phil Dunphy, the real estate agent, showing Chris Martin—who plays a very unaware version of himself—and ends with the former in the hospital. 

The show pokes fun at Chris Martin's choice of attire. "I thought I'd be better looking," Martin says to Dunphy, distressed. "People think that because the rest of the band look like hobbits." He notices a rainbow flower sewn onto Phil's jeans, which the latter admits to embroidering upon himself. "Impressive," says ,artin. "When you're ready for it, you get a t-shirt, put on top of a long-sleeve. That lets everybody know that you wear multiple shirts."

One of the best scenes, undoubtedly was Martin applying balls to Dunphy's inflamed private parts.
