One legend owns the team, the other plays for it. But the two haven't met each other yet! In the past three seasons, Kerala Blasters, co-owned by Sachin Tendulkar, have finished runners-up twice. So, when this season the Kerala outfit signed former Manchester United and Bulgarian star Dimitar Berbatov, expectations were sky high.
However, when asked if he had met the cricketing legend, Berbatov said, “I know... people told me. Some of the players told me but I have had the chance to meet him yet... maybe in the future.”
The Bulgarian international, however, is enjoying his stint with the Kerala team. In a country where cricket is a religion, he hopes football will catch up.
