India scored a mammoth 392/4 in the second ODI against Sri Lanka in Mohali of the three-match series. Fighting back from their crushing defeat in the first one-dayer in Dharamshala, captain Rohit Sharma's unbeaten knock of 208 spurred the Indian innings.
Shreyas Iyer (88 off 70 balls) and Shikhar Dhawan (68) also piled on the runs to put up the imposing score, which is the highest recorded in Mohali.
This is Sharma's third ODI double century. He has become the only player to score three double centuries in ODIs. He scored his first double ton (209) against Australia in 2013. The second one was a massive 264 against Sri Lanka in Kolkata.
Sharma's 208 not out against Sri Lanka today is the second highest individual score by a captain in ODIs. Virender Sehwag's 219 against West Indies in Indore back in 2011 stands unbeaten.
